This is an older site in our archive, it was posted to show our skills in Illustrator. The site was created from a sub-contract, it was very simply plugged into WordPress so that the owner could easily create articles in reference to all things home-ownership. Unfortunately the theme has been changed out for a new one within the past few years, but the owner – and sub-contract contact were both very pleased with the result. This theme started a long on-going stream of work from this contact, whom was increasingly pleased with results everytime.

This project was won on Freelancer.com. After working in illustrator to create the logo for this client, I then began coding the entire site for WordPress. The owner wished to have a site that was 100% widget ready, and easy to update no matter how much content needs to go into the site. There were three separate navigation areas setup, two of which included CSS drop-downs. The remainder of the site was heavy, heavy CSS work. This is one of the simplest sites I’ve worked on in quite some time as owner did not wish to overload the page with a JQuery slider.

Chris was pleased with the final result, and provided a 10-star review on Freelancer.  I did request for URL for the active link to the site, it will be posted as soon as received.

This is the technology/business blog in association with this portfolio, the portfolio was originally housed on acidgloss.net. This has been an active domain for almost 10 years, the archives have come and gone due to numerous changes within the blogging programs over the years. The site was started on Greymatter, went to B2, then to Moveable Type and has been powered by WordPress for quite a number of years since that date. This is the domain where owner of AGn Designs (Krissy) has fine-tuned her skills with WordPress and displayed numerous different types of designs to keep readers interested. The most recent facelift is a very, very simple template as this blog is primarily for business/technology and Krissy did not wish for it to be too over-cluttered for the reader to remain engaged.

While working for an appraisal company, James was one of my field appraisers. He works with numerous other companies and needed a website to promote his business, primarily for Google searches, and ability for direct contact. I threw the site together very quickly after completing the logo. It contains very basic information about he and his staffs ability, and gives companies/owners in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia the ability to reach him and his employee’s very easily for their services.

James, of course, was very happy with the final result, and has referred me to other clients for future workloads.

We received a request from Kim for a new design for her fitness club, located in Seaford, DE. She was referred to Sean (my PHP Developer/Fiance) by a friend. She provided examples of how she wished for her site to look, noting that she would like to stick with the Purple/Grey color-scheme of her company logo. She also noted that the logo is to remain in-tact with no major editing. I’ll admit, having the brick background stumped me until I figured out a way to have it in a prominent spot, where it’s worked into the design and not just stuck on the template.

The site is powered by WordPress, and hosted with AGn Solutions. JQuery sliders are in place for the rotating images, as are numerous custom post-types to get the look and feel that Kim was looking for, as well as the functionality the site, itself, required.

Kim was very please with the result, other CrossFit companies in the Delaware area are also interested in new site designs as well.

This was the first (of a few) projects worked on for Don. The lead was from Freelancer. Don wanted a feminine template for his shoe designers blog and needed the existing template on the site to completely go away. The base template was created in Photoshop in approximately 2 hours after the color scheme was decided upon. Coding for WordPress took approximately 3 hours in total. The site is fully loaded with clean, validated code and also boasts heavy plugins for SEO to bring his rankings up. The site is also being pinged to numerous blog platforms as well. Client was very pleased with the work, 10 stars were provided and it was noted that we’d be working with him on numerous projects to come.

Krissy.nu houses my personal blog. I purchased the domain in 2005 after the .nu boom kicked off. Previous “personal” domains include acidgloss.net (now a business/technology/design blog), rainbow-dementia.org, glassed-tears.net, curvy-chick.net & krissyville.net. Many of the previous domains have since expired, and I have no interest in revisiting them.

As noted, it is my personal blog. It’s common for the theme to regularly change when my brain is working in 1000 different directions a minute. Typically, as the domain is somewhat of a personal ‘journal’, I consider the frequent theme changes to be compared to ‘doodles’.

Without fail, however, site is always coded with valid xHTML/CSS and SEO in mind.

I received this project via Freelancer.com. Chris was creating this site as a surprise for his wife’s birthday. She was starting her own cleaning business (like Merry Maids) and Chris felt it would be a good idea to market her. She knew that a Logo design was pending (from another Freelancer) but did not know that one would be worked into a Website for her. In order to avoid any conflict, emails were a minimum. Chris gave me very straight forward direction and from there I ran with it, creating a very clean and simple design that provided more information than Graphics. I did utilize stock images in order to bulk up the content, from there – however – everything fell into place in a matter of hours. He showed the site to his wife a few days early, she was very pleased with the result and Chris was happy as well. He noted there may be projects in the future.

Project was paid off of Freelancer.com, no review was provided. Client was very pleased with result either way.
